From December 1. salaries of Kombinat «Magnezit» employees will increase by 25 percent

Shareholders and management of «Magnezit» Group took decision to increase from December 1. 2007 salaries of Kombinat «Magnezit» employees by 25 percent. The task of salaries increase was defined by the president of Kombinat «Magnezit» as a priority direction of social politics aimed at improvement of employees living standards.

In December 2005 S. Korostelyov informed that by the year 2010 salaries of the plant employees will have been increased twofold. In 2006 average monthly salaries at Kombinat «Magnezit» increased by 24,7 percent. By results of 9 months of the year 2007 average salaries rose in comparison with the same period of the last year by 23,7 percent.

Growth of production volumes is the reason for salary rises. During 9 months of 2007 Kombinat «Magnezit» produced 1 million 108 thousand tons of refractory products which is nearly by 10,5 percent more than during the same period of 2006. Production of shaped refractories increased by 0,7 percent up to 300,2 thousand tons; production of salable powders increased by 5,2 percent up to 652,8 thousand tons; production of masses, mortars, mixes increased b 6,7 percent up to 32,8 thousand tons; production of other refractory products such as FOM, SMG, briquettes increased by 21,6 percent up to 121,6 thousand tons.

Positive dynamics is conditioned by implementation of investment program aimed at modernization of production facilities and new technologies introduction as well as by business processes perfection and regular work for optimization of expenses.

Social projects are implemented along with investment projects: in 2007 more than 400 million rubles will be spent for supporting own social sphere objects and for financing social programs of support for employees of Kombinat «Magnezit».

Decision of shareholders and management of Kombinat «Magnezit» is in line with the initiatives of Chelyabinsk region governor Pyotr Sumin aimed at improvement of living standards of South Urals? population.
